Personality: 
During her job, she would act as polite and respectful as possible towards the customers. Showing her good sides to the customers is one of the most important things taught by her parents and she still follows those rules.
Outside of her job, she'll show her true face towards any stranger who approaches he, she'll make a lot of sarcastic of even insulting comments. Certainly she doesn't feel comfortable about strangers approaching her, when they don't have anything to do with her job.
Qiu Leng is quite a calm person on the surface but always ready to snap away your head, once you truly anger her. Beside being mostly a jerk, she is quite openminded to any feedbacks that would help her to improve her potions or herself. She loves gaining more knowledge about things she never knew before and thus she is ready to listen to stories or worries from someone if they interested her.

History: 
Qiu Leng was born in a village in the mountains to the east. It is a peaceful little village which still holds the old traditions upright.
Her parents are farm workers and her family is quite big since her grandparents also lives together with them.
Being the youngest child of three, she wasn't able to go to school, due the lack of money. 
This is the reason  why she was mostly educated by her own parents or her brothers whenever they had time. During the other days she would have to help out with her parents' work on the field or doing the houseworks. Besides studying and working Qiu Leng was an energetic
and mischievous kid, who did tons of pranks with the other village kids. However the adults were never happy with those kids pranks and nearly everytime there would a complain about them. 

One day one of the kids came with the rumour about about a certain witch living the forest. The kids started a test of courage, only 4 kids were willing enough to take this challenge. Qiu Leng was one of the 4 kids, the test was mostly to sneak in and get an item from the witch as an evidence. They had to swear never to tell anybody about this action and shall never reveal the names of the ones who did it.
When the last sunrays went down, the test began. To Qiu Leng's misfortune, the witch came back earlier than expected and caught her. The other 3 were lucky enough to be able to escape. After being caught by the witch, she was dragged to her parents, where the witch complains about their daughter. As a punishment Qiu Leng had to help out with the witch's chores for 1 month. 
During that time, Qiu Leng got interested in the work of the witch who brewed mysterious liquids. She begged to be her apprentice, the witch however was not amused with the idea of teaching a brat like her. However Qiu Leng changed the witch's mind by offering to keep helping out with the chores as an apprentice. The witch happily accepted this offer. Without knowing she underestimated her apprenticeship by the witch and her work at home, this lead her to become sick very quickly. 
Her parents were worried about their daughter's health and wanted her to stop, instead of stopping learning how to brew potions, she stopped to play with the other kids, to gain more time.

After some years she became penpal with the nephew of her father's acquaintance, who was a traveller. Hearing stories of the world outside of the village, made her want to go travelling too. Sadly since her family do not earn very much, it was an impossible dream.
Once she reached the age of 18, her mother arranged some meeting with possible future husbands for her daughter. Most the of girls in that village are already married by that age and fearing that her daughter might never find a husband, she tried to dresses her up as pretty as possible. Not wanting to be ungrateful, Qiu Leng played along even though she believes that marriages are troublesome and only fools choose that way. No matter how pretty she was dressed, these gentlemens were either disgusted by her personality or got mysteriously ill (aka food poisoning). This went on for 2 years. Qiu Leng is sick and tired of being pushed into a marriage with someone she barely knows, no matter how often she tried to explain it, her mother keeps being stubborn and wants her to be married as soon as possible.
Telling her worries to her penpal, he replies with two letters, one fancy letter with a flyer about an odd town named Coffee town and the second letter explaining, that the fancy letter was lying around in his mailbox and he send it to her since it might help to solve her problems. The flyer was fancy, yeah and the offers were wonderfl. 
.... Maybe a little too wonderful. Whatever it was worth a try. Knowing that her parents would go against the idea, she sneaked out of the house when everyone was still asleep. Qiu Leng was on her way to the ship ''Panna Cotta''.



Additional Info: 
- The symbols on her face are not tattoos but face paint (they are not waterproof)
- She only paints her face for work.
- The only tattoos are on her left hand and hidden under her bangs (she is really self concious about this one)
- She fears dolls and maggots, since they disgust and creep her out
- Her right earring  does not have any feathers.
- She is quite fascinated of elves and hybirds, since there weren't any in her village.
- She keep most of her potions in her backpack.
- Loves to create dangerous potions and bombs
